My own compiled MaNGOS

Posted by Flambé on 22 December, 2008

Update: Sorry this has been taking so long. I am having troubles with installing the MaNGOS at the moment. More info will be coming as soon as I know.

I have decided I am going to start compiling my own MaNGOS for everyone that uses this site to have a go at. It most likely won’t be as easy to install as Reaper-X MaNGOS due to the fact that I won’t be making bat and exe files to run the installation for now.

Once the MaNGOS team have settled on SVN or Git I will start compiling my own MaNGOS and then releasing it to you with an instalation guide.

Please comment about what you think of this below.

Steve.

I would be interested to see what you come up with. I switched over to trinity due to the reaper x guys switching but if you were able to compile a stable version of mangos with some step by step guides, I would probably switch back to that. Trinity is hard as hell to configure with no guides on anything. I have tried contacting various folks trying to just get some basic info on how to compile and put in custom sql files and scripts in trinity with no luck.

So yeah, Im interested to see what you put out. Great work on the site by the way.

Thank you for the interest in the MaNGOS project I am soon to try out. I will try my best to compile a stable version of MaNGOS for release on this site and I would definatly make a guide to install and even compile your own from it.

Thank you for the support again and I’m glad you like the site!

    Steve.
