Reaper-x mangos questions (now auction house bot instrustions included)(and MaNGOS database Editor)

Do you want me to put a guide up for something else to do with reaper mangos? i don’t mind what it is or how simple it is, just comment below and i’l make a guide or tell you how if i know, otherwise someone else will hopefully help you

How to set up an auction house bot (AHBot):
Requierments:
WORKING reaper-x mangos server
navicat lite
Instructions:
1. Open up mangosd.exe and realmd.exe and create a new account for your AHBot. I used AHBot for username and password.
2. Go onto World of Warcraft and create a character in your new account.
3. Close World of Warcraft and mangosd.exe and realmd.exe as they arnen’t needed any more.
4. Open navicat lite and create a new connection (click Connection in the top left and type in root for username and your database password (the one you used while configuring MySQL) and accept) if you havent already got the connection to your MySQL database.
5. In your MySQL database find characters, open it and then open tables inside it to. Then open character inside that and a lost of all the characters on your realm will come up. Look for the one you just created for the auction house.
6. Get both the GUID and ID numbers of the character and remember them as you’ll need them in a second.
7. Open mangosd.conf and go just about 7/8s of the way down untill you find this:
# Auction House Bot character data
AuctionHouseBot.Account =
AuctionHouseBot.GUID =(Their may already be numbers after the ‘=’)
Where it says ‘AuctionHouseBot.Account = ‘ type in the IP of the character after the = sign.
Where it says ‘AuctionHouseBot.GUID = ‘type in the GUID of the character after the = sign.
8. Save and close mangosd.conf and open mangos.exe, realmd.exe and go into WoW. Go to the auction house and it should be filled with items

Quest Editor, Creature Editor, GameObject Editor, Item Editor, And some small features
easy and fast …. even a newby will learn how to make those things

The thing i find strange is that when i created a account with the user AHbot and AHbot as the password. it didnt show up on the navicat lite character template? how strange and what do u mean by account ID? i cant find it.

How would you create an AH bot for Ascent? I’ve just got mine working and everything is working fine. But Can’t stand the empty AH. lol

I don’t know how to get it to work on ascent. I’ve only tryed MaNGOS, sorry.

onestly i don`t know why so many use ascent … y had one but it`s with 40% more bugs …. well to get to the point … in the last release of ascent u have the same configuration in the mangos.conf .. just put in the right acc number and guid and it will work

Ok I followed the above guide and in my mangos.exe it said about 5k items were added, but when I go to the ah there still is nothing there. Any ideas? Thanks.

I have the same problem as steven. Mangos says that a certain number of items in each rarity class have been added to AH (however, not the correct percentages) but when I log in there is nothing in the AH. I have trade between alliance/horde turned off.(couldn’t tell if having that turned on determined which AH the items would be in) Everything else works great. Thanks Reaper.

I hate the answer for the people that get the AHbot to load right, but have nothing in the AH when they play.
Run navicat open the auctionhousebot table in characters DB adjust the min and max item count for the 3 AH’s

the auction house bot seems to make my server unstable, when i disabled it it became stable again. Could it be my auctionhouse settings?

I also cant find my character id# I tried putting in account # but that doesnt work, I can find Guid ok though, please help.

i type the guid and acc id , in the mangosd.conf , but when i start the game, theres still nothing at the AH ?

I’ve just had a look through mangosd.conf in that revision and the auction house bot section ISN’T in there like you said. I’ve also looked through the release page on reaper-x.com and it isn’t mentioned.
It looks like it wasn’t up for this release.
UNRECOMMENDED:
You could try and add this into your mangosd.conf file and do the above tutorial and see if it works:
AuctionHouseBot.Account =
AuctionHouseBot.GUID =
WARNING: I do not know how this will effect you’re server. I strongly advise you to backup all your files for your server if you are going to try this.

If it does work I’ll add it onto the guide above. It’s the only thing I can think of exept using a different version of mangos that has it instead.

OMG you no brainer! what is he going to do with items from a PRIVATE SERVER? Vendor them and then sell the gold to some gold selling site? and tell what is he going to do with the keylog of login/passwords of people playing on private servers???? DDDUUHHH!!!
