I’ve now got reaper-x-mangos 5082 installed and well, can answer your questions now. If a few different people keep getting the same error i will edit this post again and put the error in with the answer if i know it. For some reason this post is counted as a trackback on the reaper-x-mangos 5082 on the reaper-x site but i dont mind and anyway, ive got a lot more traffic becuase of it.

man y have a reak problem here … after y set up all … fresh install and start the mangosd.exe when it finishes it`s mooving all the time like this …

your mangosd is working but it looks like oatman hasnt fixed the transports glitch unless your on reaper mangos 5005 then thats the glitch anyway.
so its not a problem, is just a annoying glitch, i got it to

Hi i’m upgrading from 5054 and as its my first time (loving it btw) i was unsure on how i upgrade on the basic part only.
I deleted my old reaper-x-mangos folder then installed the new one, i then proceeded to get the maps/vmaps then put those in the reaper-x-mangos folder.
should i now run upgrade as my DB is still running the old version of 5054?
did not back up my Character Data as i did not know how :/ i also modified some weapons on it it was standard weapons/armour i added stats to to test quice will they be put back to there proper way with this update?

Hi,
Yeh, run the upgrade and let it do its work. Hoperfully your character data is still their but sometimes it isnt
I don’t know about the wepons and armour unless you got a .sql file for it and then you can reload it into the realm but otherwise im blank.

I’d put it as what port you used when configuring MySQL, default port 3306

Any idea on how to get the AH bot thing to work or where to go to add features like this to a server.
WoW as a 1 player game who’d have thought it would work better no annoying ppl or spammers on my very very private server

Hi,
Have you made sure mangosd.conf, realmd.conf and scriptdev2.conf all know where your extracted stuff is? Also do they know where to find your MySQL bin folder?

As per our conversations
updating keeps Char data though i suspect i lost my quest log no biggie
RealmServerPort is different to DB port so leave it as:
RealmServerPort = 3724
AHBot works fine just create an account and Char called AHBot (or whatever u want) then in the DB in Table’s Realmd and Characters you can get the Account and GUID.
for mangos.conf
# Auction House Bot character data (Default is 0 for no AHBot)
AuctionHouseBot.Account = 7
AuctionHouseBot.GUID = 6
if your account for you AHBot is first one created its:
# Auction House Bot character data
AuctionHouseBot.Account = 5
AuctionHouseBot.GUID = 2
for example
Finding out your Account ID is easy its in table realmd.account just open it in navicat or any other SQL GUI you’ve got
. (column name = id)
same for GUID except its in characters.character (Column name = guid)

Make sure you installed everything correctly and followed the guide correctly. I haven’t heard of this error before so thats all I can think of.

I’d say you need to install lastest .net framework from microsoft site.

you should change to:
ScriptDev2DatabaseInfo = “127.0.0.1;3306;username;password;scriptdev2″
where username is root (default) and password is you database password (what you chose when configuring MySQL)

not made one yet but easy way to do it mate would be copy and paste all questions asked from:

and there answers with links to the tutorials on getting vmaps/maps and setting up mySQL and where to DL it as well as the .net frame work issue and others from this page i think development of the server would move a lot faster if reaper and oatman never had to help install ppls servers answering questions over and over again and thats good for us all

1. are the pools working such as floating wreckage, if not is there an easy way to fix them?
2. is it just my set up or is everyone’s taurens the size of gnomes the pc is the right size just npcs and how do you fix them?

1. i don’t know if their are pools working and if their are, i dont know an easy way to fix them.
2. i think its just your set up BUT try clicking on the tauren and typing
.mod scale 1
and that should put it back to normal size.

hmm, by what you’ve said you’ve extracting vmaps, maps and dbc, confugured MySQL, have you made sure when you run reaper-x-mangos.bat you type in where your MySQL bin folder is, (default is C:\Program Files\MySQL\bin) it should be right otherwise.

i dont mind you posting comments like spamming just so long as its on-topic.
in remeber having a problem like that before and i think the reason was that i didnt extract the vmaps, maps and dbc files in the right place
, i did it in the folder they came in not in the WoW folder (and wow/data/enXX folder for dbc).
hmm. this does normaly also mean what it says, it cant connect to the database which means it cant find it. you did setup MySQL right didnt you?

i think ive done it all right, i puted dbc in wow/data/enGB (extracted it here) and then extracted maps and vmaps in C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft
then i copy vmaps and maps to C:\Reaper-X-Easy-MaNGOS should i put dbc there too?

Hey I got some problems with the vmap,maps,etc and how to redirect the stuff. I can’t seem to put the stuff in the right place and I followed the guide carefully. I finished extracting the vmaps and dbc but not sure what to do with it. Sorry for my noobness but bear with me.

cyanz the reaper-x 5082 repack should come with dbc files in your reaper mangos folder in data. so using your extract-EnXX.bat wouldnt be neccessary. also you only neeed 1 datadir so puting another in C:\Reaper-X-Easy-MaNGOS would be a waste of time. my dir is in C:\Reaper-X-Easy-MaNGOS becuz inside there was already the DBC for me so yeah.

if the router is in u`r house and u have acces just type u`r ip in any explorer and a username and password acces control should come up …. the default passwords are admin and admin or 123456
if u still can`t find a way to make it public just leave u`r email here and y`l email u with pictures on what u must do

http://localhost/phpmyadmin type in u`r username and password
click on the priviledges
on adduser and put a user the … click check all and down at the bottom click go …. DON`T CLICK GENERATE PASSWORD ….
and use that password and username it will work
